Update

Hello, Everyone!

I just wanted to thank all of you who have been praying that we would find somewhere to move! We now have a piece of property, and are looking for a used doublewide to put on it. I would ask that you please continue to pray with us for guidance and wisdom (especially for my Daddy) as we clear a place on the property for a trailer. It's beautiful land!! I am so excited, and really enjoyed picking Huckleberries there Thursday! :)

I don't know how many of you knew it, but I tutored a young lady in math from the end of January until this past week, and it was such a rewarding experience! I've always loved math, so helping her was really enjoyable. It was definitely a growing experience, though, too- I'm not very organized,  :) so I had to learn to prepare ahead! It made me really appreciate all that work my Mamma did when I was in school!

I am also VERY excited about the upcoming Baby Conference in San Antonio, Texas! It is only a month away, but you can still register if you'd like to go. Let me know if you're planning on attending-- I'd love to see some of you there!

Before I go, I would encourage all of you young ladies to visit my friend Sierra at Feminism to Faithfulness and read her wonderful post on modesty- Candles Among Gunpowder. I am sure you will be blessed!

Getting Started

Starting a blog has been something my parents have encouraged me to do, not simply as a tool of chronicling for myself the many mercies and providences of God, but also as a way to share what the Lord is doing in my life with others. It is my hope that maybe I can encourage other young ladies who are seeking to follow the Lord and their fathers, as we travel this path together.

The Lord has certainly been at work in my life recently! In fact, my life has felt like a whirlwind these past few months : ) Little did my family know when we decided to follow the Lord's direction to get out of debt what an exciting adventure we were beginning!! In July 2009 we put our house and 20 acres up for sale, in September we had a contract on our house, in November we sold, and,by the Grace of God moved into a trailer rent free for 6 months!

Something God has laid on my heart recently has been to rely on Him solely. He knows what He's doing! : ) I need to rest in His Perfect Provision and Protection. And it ought to be so easy! "For His compassions never fail." (Lamentations 3:22) I know this, now I need to believe it.

A closing thought I'd like to share is a quote from Epicurus that my Mamma found, and has been a great encouragement to us: Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things only hoped for.
